PLAY DATE: 2026/27 Season Launch & Community Picnic

You're invited to PLAY DATE: An afternoon of yummy food, great company, and a first look at what's coming next for Play on Words Productions. 

Join artists, audiences, alumni, community partners, and friends as we gather in beautiful Stanley Park to celebrate the launch of our 2026/27 season and reveal the rest of our exciting upcoming programming. Be among the first to hear what's in store, meet some of the creative minds behind our productions, reconnect with familiar faces, and make a few new theatre-loving friends along the way. 

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon filled with conversation, lawn games, door prizes, and a few surprises we promise are worth sticking around for. Whether you're eager to hear the season announcement, curious about what goes on behind the scenes, or simply looking for an excuse to spend time with an amazing community, PLAY DATE is the perfect place to be. 

Tickets are $22.50 and include food and one non-alcoholic beverage. Have a recipe you want to share? Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks, too! 

Whether you've been with us since the beginning or are discovering Play on Words for the first time, we'd love for you to join us as we celebrate, connect, and kick off another season of bold, independent theatre. Bring your picnic spirit and SPF. We'll bring the excitement.
